Jon is here. He asked me to mention that. He also asked me to say he was cool, which he is.

Unlike all you other worthless, arrogant, hypocritical fucks. Yeah, I mean you. Asshole. Quit doing things to try to impress people, cause no one cares. Maybe you should work on trying to just be a real person, rather than a hollow construct. Stupid SOBs.

Anyway, I'm here today to tell a story. Not for any particular reason, except maybe that telling it now allows me to bypass having to tell it multiple times, as anyone who cares claims to read this. They're probably lying, but I no longer give a fuck.

Once upon a time in the magical kingdom known as Albuquerque, there journeyed a young man on a pilgrimage. While this young man was there, he bumped into an old friend of his named Janice.

The two of them commenced hanging out, the way old friends do, and talk eventually progressed to the unfinished business the two had between them. Finally, it was decided that the two of them would start seeing each other on an exclusive basis. You know, the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing. Though things were a bit awkward between them, like the first time they kissed, they eventually became comfortable with thinking of each other in this respect, and they began to settle down and enjoy their blooming relationship.

One day, Janice turned to the young man and said, "I'm going to the movies tonight with Wes."

Wes was another old friend of both of theirs.

"Are you okay with that? Is it uncomfortable or unsettling to you?" asked Janice, for communication had been one of the most important part of their relationship the entire time they'd known each other, especially now.

"No," the young man replied honestly, "I trust you."

The next morning, the young man received a visit from Janice, and she was in tears.

"We have to talk," she proclaimed nervously. "Things sort of...happened, between me and Wes last night."

A long conversation ensued, which while emotional, was suprisingly civil and pleasant. The relationship was over, and it was decided that the road trip the two had planned for later that week was also not to be.

A few days later, the young man left without saying good-bye to Janice. He was hurt, yes, but he was getting used to it by now. More than anything else, he was frustrated at having yet another experience to add to his collection. Also, he was pretty angry, though he never yelled at anyone for it.

Except in writing.

So that's our story, you miserable little SOBs. Did you like it? No? Watch me care.

Ken, that story sucked.

SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU STUPID...oh, wait, you're right. But at least I don't have to read the damn thing.

True enough. And it's not like these miserable bastards have been paying attention anyway.

Would you pay attention to you?

Hell, I never do.

This conversation is going nowhere.

You're right, but what are we gonna do?

Well, we've probably lost enough prying assholes by now that we could slip in a song or two.

Yeah, but that's not really worth it. And the two people who are still left with us would complain because they have nothing better to do.

Let's just close with a cool quotation from Wej, "The only thing worse than being him is being the guy he envies."

Which is absolutely true when you think about it.

I'm going now. So should you.

Ken
